X Factor’s Four of Diamonds promise to come back stronger than ever after being voted into bottom two
Four of Diamonds have insisted that being voted into the bottom two on X Factor this weekend has motivated them to work harder than ever.
On Sunday, both Relley C and Four of Diamonds found themselves facing the sing-off after being voted into the bottom two by the viewing public. The girl group delivered a solid performance of a “Lady Marmalade”/”Bang Bang” mashup, but unfortunately it was not enough for the viewing public at home.
Luckily, the girls were able to excel during the sing-off. Their rendition of “Who Are You” by Fifth Harmony got them through to the next round thanks to the judges’ vote, at the expense of poor Relley C.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine today (Monday), Four of Diamonds said the experience has prepared them to try even harder in the future.
They said: “I think criticism makes us work harder because we know we’ve got catching up to do, we haven’t had as much training, we know we need to work harder.”
The girls added: “Unfortunately we were in the bottom two but we’re gonna come back next week and show what we do, in Judges’ Houses we lost ourselves a little bit. It’s motivation, it’s woke us up.”
Four of Diamonds explained how they’re eager to follow in the footsteps of Little Mix, the only group to ever have won the show.
They admitted: “We’d been watching videos of them all week of their performances on The X Factor, they’d given us so much inspiration for our performance.
“It’s nice to see their journey through the competition and that’s something we need to look at and take note from because they won and they are the only girl band who have won, so they’re a big inspiration for us.”
The singers also confessed how a late entrance into the show has come with certain disadvantages: “It’s hard because we haven’t had the time to build our fanbase in the same way, so we can’t put ourselves across in the same way the other contestants can.
“But we’re so grateful for what we’ve had because it’s been amazing.”
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
