X Factor couple Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas discuss sharing a house
X Factor finalists Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas have talked about living together in the X Factor mansion… and apparently they’ve been banned from sharing a room!
Last month the two Scottish contestants confirmed they were in a relationship after hitting it off during the auditions, and now it looks as if the couple have been forced to pick up the pace with their romance. After successfully winning over Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell at the Judges’ Houses, they are now living with one another in the luxury £3.6m X Factor mansion as they prepare for the live shows this weekend.
The 20-year-old Ryan told The Sun: “It’s our first time living together so it’s definitely fast-forwarded our relationship.
“I’m happy we’ll go through the experience together and help each other through any tough moments.”
Apparently the show’s producers want to prevent the pair getting too cosy though, as Ryan went on to say: “We’re not allowed to share a room, though!”
Emily chipped in, explaining: “It’s nice to have someone who actually knows you in the house. He knows me inside out. I’d be a little bit lost if I didn’t have him.”
That might just happen, however. The pair of lovebirds do need to remember that they are each other’s competition, which means the couple could potentially be separated if one of them is knocked out. Yet, Ryan and Emily remain adamant that they will stay strong throughout the process.
Ryan said: “It’s surreal. We know there could be tough times ahead but I think we can work through them.
“We’ve talked about how we’ll deal with it if one of us leaves, but we’re super- supportive of each other.”
The duo certainly do seem very happy with each other at the moment, and have been sharing public displays of affection on social media, posting numerous couple snaps and selfies on Instagram:
The two singers, along with the rest of the contestants, will be singing live for their place in the competition this Saturday. Hopefully they will deliver a great performance… for the sake of their careers and relationship!
The X Factor Live Shows begin Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
