Winter is coming! Sky Atlantic unveils icy Game of Thrones mega tribute
Sky Atlantic has unveiled an “Art Attack” style snow tribute to Game of Thrones, to celebrate the news that the show will be simulcast on the channel on April 25 at 2am.
International snow artist Simon Beck was called out to create the largest snow tribute to Game of Thrones on Earth, a homage to the Stark sigil (a wolf) alongside the famous Stark catchphrase: winter is coming. Beck chose to re-create the Stark sigil in honour of the late Jon Snow, who appeared to meet a gruesome end in the season five finale.
Beck worked day and night in the freezing Alps to create the tribute, which comprises 64,800 footsteps and took thirteen hours of walking to complete, covering a whopping 32.5 kilometres. The colossal artwork is roughly the size of 2.5 football pitches.

Season six of Game of Thrones will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic at 2am on April 25, at the same time it airs in the US and will be repeated 9 pm the same day.
If you’ve missed any of the action so far, every episode of seasons 1-5 will be exclusively available to watch on Sky Box Sets from March 14.
