WATCH: The trailer for Westworld series 2 is here
The trailer for series two of Westworld has dropped.
Super Bowl fans delighted last night when a new trailer for the HBO drama was broadcast during an ad break.
The new one-minute-and-a-half trailer is narrated by star Evan Rachel Wood, as her character explains why the Westworld theme park needs restructuring. As she speaks, the visuals show both the glory of the fictional Westworld and the real lives of those who operate it. Interestingly, it also shows a merging of the two worlds – as androids and animals begin to escape their imprisonment.
The last series of Westworld ended with the theme park in utter chaos, so these developments seem to make sense. The series also teased the presence of other theme parks, as in the Westworld novel, so there’s a chance these may also pop up in series two.
Another key takeaway from the new trailer is a confirmed US return date: April 22, 2018 at 9pm on HBO.
There’s no word yet on exactly when Sky Atlantic will be airing the series in the UK after it premieres across the Atlantic, but bets are on it being relatively close. Exciting!
