WATCH: Michelle Obama joins James Corden for carpool karaoke
Michelle Obama has joined James Corden for his hit Late Late Show segment, Carpool Karaoke.
In the segment from the show, James’ tour of the White House is interrupted by the First Lady, who pops into the passenger seat and announces she has a few spare minutes and will be leading the British presenter’s tour.
After a brief chat about the rose gardens and husband Barack’s whereabouts, Michelle asks if they can put on some music as her busy schedule means she rarely gets to listen to music in the car.
The two then praise Stevie Wonder and sing a duet of Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed Delivered”. Michelle admits she might just be the biggest Stevie fan on the planet.
James and Michelle’s conversation about what she will miss the most about leaving the White House soon turns into a conversation about grilled cheese sandwiches before dissolving into a rendition of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, complete with an adapted version of the dance suitable for drivers.
It gets better still. After the pair talk about secret service code names, snapchat and Michelle’s work supporting female education, the pair sing Michelle’s charity single “This Is For My Girls”, and none other than Missy Elliott joins them.
Missy and Michelle high five and James can’t resist asking the pair to join him with a carpool cover of Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On”.
