Strictly Come Dancing line-up: Who are the four confirmed celebrity contestants?
Four celebrities have now been confirmed as competitors for this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
Today (Thursday, August 10), yet another famous face was added to the Strictly line-up, meaning we now know four celebrities who will be putting on their dancing shoes for the popular BBC series this September.
Take a look at the celebs joining the line-up below:
Singer Mollie King
This Morning‘s Ruth Langsford
EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami
So far, a new Strictly contestant has been revealed each day and today’s big unveil was actress and radio presenter Gemma Atkinson.
Announcing the news on BBC Breakfast, Gemma said: “Learning to dance is so out of my comfort zone – so I just want to challenge myself.”
Yesterday, Ruth Langsford was revealed as the third star to sign up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Appearing on This Morning on Wednesday, Ruth said: “I have dreamt about doing Strictly for so long, I can’t quite believe my dream has come true!
“The sum of my dance experience is throwing a few shapes at a party, I’ve never had a dance lesson in my life. Without doubt it will be the scariest yet most exciting thing I’ve ever done.
“It’ll be a welcome change worrying about my next hot move instead of my next hot flush!”
We will find out which other celebrities will be joining Ruth, Gemma, Mollie and Davood in due course, but rumoured appearances include: EastEnders legend Ross Kemp, former TOWIE star Billie Faiers, Bros singer Matt Goss, former EastEnders star Rita Simmons, presenter Angela Scanlon, EastEnders Mitchell sister Samantha Womack and Gogglebox‘s Scarlett Moffatt.
Strictly Come Dancing returns this September on BBC One.
