Nick Offerman To Star In McDonald’s Biopic
It has been confirmed that Nick Offerman, who played everyone’s favourite libertarian grump Ron Swanson in NBC’s Parks and Recreation, will star in the upcoming McDonald’s biopic, The Founder.
Offerman joins previously announced cast members Michael Keaton and Laura Dern, and will take on the role of Dick McDonald; one of the fast food restaurant’s founders, who is coerced into passing his business over to investor Ray Kroc (Keaton).
Kroc, who worked alongside Mac and Dick McDonald at their fast food restaurant in southern California before buying the company, was responsible for turning McDonald’s into a household name.
We can’t wait to see whether any of Ron Swanson’s unique business or political views influence Offerman’s portrayal of McDonald.
John Lee Hancock, who is known for his work on Saving Mr Banks and Snow White and the Huntsman, will direct.
The Founder will hit screens in the US on November 25, 2016.
