Love Island’s Nathan Massey breaks silence on Cara De La Hoyde’s pregnancy
Nathan Massey has broken his silence on the news that he is expecting his first child with ex-girlfriend Cara De La Hoyde.
The Love Island winners only ended their relationship last month, but yesterday Cara made the shock announcement that she is pregnant with Nathan’s baby.
Taking to Twitter last night, Nathan confirmed the news and praised his family and friends for their unconditional support. However, there was no mention of Cara or the status of their relationship.
He wrote: “Yes it’s true..I’m going to be a Dad. Its an emotional time for me and I’m overwhelmed by all the support from both my family and friends”.

Cara revealed the big news yesterday and also insisted the pregnancy won’t mean a rekindled romance with Nathan. She told OK! Magazine: “It’s a shame and a sad situation. I know a lot of people will think, well you’re going to have a baby together so just stay together – but we’re not going to do that just to look like the perfect couple.”
The reality stars called it quits on their relationship last month, when Nathan announced on Instagram: “The worst feeling in the world is when you know that you both love each other, but still you can’t be together ! Me and Cara have split, we’ve had the summer of our lives together, but sadly come to a end, I wish her the best for the future 💔”
Cara later went into more detail on how it all ended. Talking to Reveal magazine, the celebrity suggested that they should have taken things slower in hindsight.
“People would tell us we were moving too quick and, on reflection, they were right,” she said. “When we came off Love Island, we were thrown into this world where we were known only as a couple, and everything centred around being that couple.”
Love Island returns soon to ITV2.
