Kylie Jenner reveals inspiration behind baby Stormi’s name
Kylie Jenner has revealed the reason why she named her daughter Stormi.
Kylie follows in her sister Kim’s footsteps when it comes to choosing unconventional baby names. However, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star admitted Stormi Webster was not the first name she and Travis Scott had picked for their child.
During an interview with Kim Kardashian West for The Evening Standard Magazine, Kylie admitted they were originally going to call their baby girl Storm.
She said: “I really don’t know how we thought of Storm.
“Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us.
“And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name.
“So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck.
“I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name…like it was just her name.”
It was recently reported Kylie’s mother, Kris Jenner, is not a fan of her granddaughter’s name due to recent news headlines.
Following Stormi’s birth, allegations emerged that US President Donald Trump had had an affair with a porn star of the same name: Stormy Daniels.
An insider told Radar: “Kris Jenner thought the name ‘Stormi’ was cute for Kylie’s baby back in February, when she was born, but now she hates it!
“She’s horrified and is hoping the scandal will go away so their Stormi can reclaim the name.
“Baby names are money to them, and this name was just bad timing, let’s face it.”
