Kady McDermott exposes Love Island lie detector test as fake
Former Love Island star Kady McDermott has revealed the show’s lie detector test “isn’t even real”.
Last night’s Love Island episode saw the islanders face the lie detector challenge. This year, it was the boys turn to be grilled by the girls as they were forced to answer a series of questions truthfully.
The results caused a fair bit of drama in the villa when some of the boys were exposed as liars. However, series two star Kady has revealed that the answers are actually all made up anyway.
Taking to Twitter, she said: “Jack why aren’t you at least lying ffs the lie detector isn’t even real ffs you dumb a** poor Laura.”
As followers started questioning what the reality star meant, Kady posted again saying: “Oh you guys actually think it’s a legit lie detector? Lol.”
The lie detector challenge caused some serious tension between many of the island’s couples last night, including Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, Laura Crane and Jack Fowler, Alex George and Alexandra Cane and Laura Anderson and Paul Knops.
Fan favourites Jack and Dani suffered in particular after it was revealed Jack’s head might be turned by other girls outside the villa.
After the challenge, Dani admitted to the camera: “Any girl in this world, if they got that question and their boyfriend got it wrong, they would be upset and I don’t think he understands that.”
She continued: “I didn’t want him to fail that question. If anything, that was the one question I cared about. And he failed it for me.”
Love Island continues tonight (Tuesday) at 9pm on ITV2.
