The 10 most stylish TV characters
TV shows are supposed to be known for the dramatics, storylines and interesting characters, but sometimes characters’ fashion choices stand out so much that we can’t help but take notice. Whether they are sporting Prada handbags or expensive three-piece suits, here are some of the best-dressed characters on TV:
The Divas
Olivia Pope
The two things Olivia from Scandal loves more than the President is a neutral-coloured Prada bag and designer oversized coats. The head gladiator-in-charge never has a bad fashion moment when she’s running around fixing problems at the White House. Even when she’s just at home enjoying a glass of wine, she can be seen wearing super stylish pyjamas.
Clara Oswald
Clara, of Doctor Who, is by far the most stylish companion yet. One of the reasons we love Clara is because of her casual but cute sense of style on the show. Clara dresses like the girlfriend we can grab coffee with on a Sunday afternoon. Her floral dresses and schoolgirl skirts make it easy for people to relate to her. Clara usually completes her outfits with a crossover bag when she’s traveling with the Doctor.
The Girls of Pretty Little Liars
Even though Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily have a crazy stalker on their tale in every episode of Pretty Little Liars, they never seem to miss out on the latest fashion trends. To set them apart from one another, the girls have their own unique sense of style. Aria is adventurous with crazy and playful patterns. Spencer is the bookworm, so she wears tailored blazers and pencil skirts. Hannah can be seen in flirty and fun tops and dresses while Emily is the casual one in mostly stylish jeans and shirts.
Cookie Lyon
Cookie’s crazy costumes are so fun to watch on Empire because they are so unpredictable. The bright furs and animal prints just scream for attention whenever she walks into a room. This choice of style works for her character because she is loud and dramatic about everything she does.
Alice Vaughan
The private investigator from The Catch has yet to reach UK TV screens (it’s scheduled for Sky Living in May) but she’s already making a fashion statement stateside. Alice is a name partner at a PI firm so she always has to look her best for her clients. She can catch bad guys while in high heels, tight pencil skirts and cute blouses. Totally bad-ass.
The Divos
Sherlock Holmes
Traditionally, detective Sherlock Holmes is known for his iconic uniform which includes a tweed coat and a deerstalker hat. However, Benedict Cumberbatch wears a modernised version of the uniform in Sherlock. The slim-fitting suit, the trench coat and the blue scarf looks very stylish and well put together while Holmes is solving crimes.
Frank Delfino
If we had to give an award for “The Sexiest Murderous Assistant in all of Shondaland,” it would no doubt go to Frank Delfino from How to Get Away with Murder. In the show, Frank is good looking dapper and murdering people in cold blood. But his beard and the way he dresses makes all of us ladies (and some gentlemen) swoon, which helps us forget all about his criminal activities.
Elijah Mikaelson
There’s no sibling rivalry like a Mikaelsson sibling rivalry in The Originals, but the one thing the siblings never disagree on is Elijah’s great taste in three-piece suits. The vampire brings lots of charm when he’s ripping people’s throats out of their bodies but he also looks good doing it. We wouldn’t be surprised if the worst part of Elijah’s day is getting other people’s blood on his expensive trousers.
John Reese
Since the beginning of Person of Interest, John Reese was known as the “Man in the Suit.” This was actually how police identified him while he was playing a vigilante on the streets of NYC. The white collared shirt and two-piece suit go perfectly with his dreamy face.
Lucifer Morningstar
Lucifer is another newcomer to our TV screens and he is probably the most handsome Devil yet. In most episodes Lucifer is dressed as if he just stepped out of the cover of GQ magazine. Looking chic is a big deal when you own a club that has bring in lots of sexy women everyday.

Every lawyer in legal dramas
The characters of TV shows like The Good Wife, Suits and How To Get Away with Murder need their own platform because they always look fashionable no matter what situation they are in. From watching these shows it’s almost as if being stylish comes with being a lawyer. Sometimes some lawyers go as far as pointing out how much they spend on their clothes and shoes. We can bet it’s more than an average person’s monthly rent.
