Dragonball To Get New Series After Eighteen Long Years
We all refused to believe that Dragonball GT was the sequel to classic anime superhero series Dragonball Z. How could Son Goku revert to a kid and leave all of our favourite characters behind for sixty episodes (but for some reason, keep the super annoying Pan)? Now, our faith has been rewarded after eighteen long years. A new series to follow the defeat of Buu is in the making, and it’s called Dragonball Super. Even better, series creator Akira Toriyama is writing the story.
Producer Osamu Nozaki really knows how to get us excited, claiming, “As I read the plot I’ve already received from Akira Toriyama, my dreams for this begin to expand. An enemy even stronger than Buu or Freeza may appear…”
How in the universe could an enemy be stronger than Buu or Freeza or even Cell? And more importantly, how is Son Goku going to save the world after this enemy inexplicably decides Earth is their prime target? Are they going to introduce a three-way fusion (not as dodgy as it sounds, I promise) or else Supersaiyan 5?
Dragonball has been one of the most popular Japanese franchises of all time, spawning 508 episodes and 19 films. The most recent film was released earlier this year.
We’re super excited for Dragonball Super!
