David Threlfall Joins Ripper Street Filming
David Threlfall (Shameless, Hot Fuzz, Nowhere Boy) has joined the cast of Ripper Street as a new series regular.
The hit period drama has just begun filming its fourth series in Dublin, following a successful reboot by Amazon Prime Instant Video.
Ripper Street was infamously dropped by the BBC after just two series and flailing ratings, only to be picked up by Amazon after fan uproar. Amazon Prime members are now able to view all three series of the show at will, while the BBC are currently airing series three of Ripper Street on Friday nights at 9pm.
Threlfall joins a group of new arrivals for the fourth season: David Warner (The Omen, Titanic), Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter) and Killian Scott (’71, Calvary). Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood, Edge of Tomorrow).
Amazon have yet to confirm the date the series will be made available on the platform.
