Big Brother unveils new pictures of 2017 house ahead of live launch on Monday
Big Brother welcomes viewers to “Britain’s Best Village” in a very first look at the 2017 house.
Big Brother will return to TV screens on Monday June 5th with a very special General Election-style launch night and, ahead of the first episode, Channel 5 has given fans a sneak peek of what is to come by releasing brand new photos of this year’s house.
The pictures welcome us to “Britain’s Best Village” and the house is looking unusually pleasant in comparison to the jarring set-up of previous years. In fact, the cute, moss-covered cottages, blossoming garden and pastel coloured interior seem practically idillic! However, if we know Big Brother like we think we do, then the housemates probably shouldn’t get too comfortable.
Here is the first look at the entrance/exit stairs, living room, bedroom and garden:
Yesterday it was reported there will be an exciting change to the launch night on Monday. Rather than host Emma Willis welcoming the mystery contestants into the house, this year viewers will vote for potential candidates in a General Election.
According to The Sun Online, the BB hopefuls will have to appeal to the viewing public in an attempt to win their votes. Each potential housemate will be given a set period of time to explain what they would bring to the house and encourage audiences to give them a spot on the show.
A source told the publication: “Big Brother bosses are really running with the election fever of the country this year and mocking up housemates as political party leaders.
“Like a real-life politician the hopeful housemates will have to convince the public to vote for them with a convincing speech.
“It will all be filmed live so they will be under pressure not to fluff up their speeches. It will be an exciting twist to the opening night shenanigans.”
Big Brother returns Monday June 5 at 8:30pm on Channel 5.
