Ariana Grande pulls out of The Brit Awards hours before show and is replaced by Liam Gallagher
Ariana Grande has pulled out of her performance at The Brit Awards just hours before tonight’s show.
The ‘One Last Time’ singer was set to perform at tonight’s Brits as part of an emotional tribute to the victims of the Manchester terror attack.
However, Ariana has now been replaced by Liam Gallagher after withdrawing from the ceremony. The news that the singer won’t be able to attend the O2 Arena reportedly through ITV producers into chaos this afternoon.
“It was utter chaos when the call came in that Ariana couldn’t do it. It’s race against time to get someone to do what is very much the centrepiece of the entire show,” a source told The Mirror.
Ariana’s appearance had been kept under wraps in order to deliver a touching surprise for fans during the most important part of the show.
A source previously told The Mirror: “It will be the biggest talking point of the night. The whole industry wants to come together to pay their respects to the victims.
“The effects of that terrible night resonated far and wide in the music industry and it’s only right everyone comes together to pay their respects.”
However, Liam is a more than suitable replacement to honour the Manchester victims, being a Mancunian himself and having performed at Ariana’s One Love Manchester concert last June.
