Camila Cabello had a “moment of insecurity” over Blue Ivy shushing Beyoncé and Jay-Z during her Grammy’s speech
Camila Cabello has spoken about the iconic moment Blue Ivy told her parents to zip it during a round of applause for her speech.
Presenting at the Grammy’s must be pretty daunting. But looking down and seeing the child of the one and only Beyoncé showing disapproval during your speech. Now that’s terrifying.
The ‘Havana’ singer appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show on Monday when host Nick Grimshaw asked her about the iconic moment, that quickly went viral after the ceremony.
“Do you think she didn’t like my speech?” Camila asked.
“What do you think that means? I had a moment of insecurity, I surprised myself.
“I literally had to stop because I can’t think about what she was thinking, [but] I feel like she’d like me.”
Nick tried to reassure the singer. He said: “I think she was over the applause interrupting your speech.
“I think she was saying to her mum and dad, ‘She’s not finished, she’s still talking!'”
“Are you lying? You really think that?” Camila replied.
Grimmy continued: “I think she was like ‘be cool'”.
The former Fifth Harmony member concluded: “Thank god I didn’t look down at the crowd while that was happening.”
